Meet the Six French RnB Singers

THE WAVE

The Wave wears many hats. Singer, Pianist, Producer, Arranger, Mixer, Musical Director, he even did the photo shoot for this project. A teen in the 90s, he was infused with Soul, Funk, New-Jack Swing,Hip-Hop and RnB. However, his formal classical and jazz musical background allowed him to master many musical genres. Explorer, his everlasting quest, is about new sounds and new ways to express his artistry, to commune and communicate with the audience. The idea of this project, brought to him by friend and associate Wil Van Zyl, is the expression of what music is about: it’s meant to be shared. Every song was written and produced by The Wave and imagined like a haute-couture artisan, custom-designed for each artist. Yes, it’s his EP, no doubt about that, but what’s the point in driving the road alone when you can bring talented friends with you?

BEVERLY BARDO

Beverly Bardo is a French Soul-RnB artist, and her Haitian background explains the strong Afro-Caribbean presence to her music. Musicality is second nature to her, and the sensuality and sexiness that radiate from her sweet, aerial voice will give you chills every time. In her first EP Haitian Honey she wrote and co-composed all of the songs, but with this particular project she accepted to lend her incredible talent as a guest on the song that was written for her. The way she took it to another level shows that her vocal skills alone make her a one-in-a million artist.

BRICE PIHAN

Brice Pihan is a French Soul-RnB artist. Strongly influenced by Soul-Gospel artists such as The Clark Sisters, Jazmine Sullivan and Lauryn Hill, he is passionate about vocal arrangements and background vocals. Although he is thought of as a master harmonies / BVs, his natural talent as a lead singer was bliss in the studio and a revelation for both The Wave and himself. Hopefully more music will come out of this collaboration.

INDY EKA

Indy Eka is a natural. She embodies sweetness and strength, pride and empathy. The expression of her femininity and blackness are infinite sources of creativity for her. Her vocal skills match only those of writing skills, and the purity of her soul is expressed through the purity of her voice. Throughout her struggles, she’s every woman’s voice. She and The Wave are actually finishing her first EP in English, which promises to be epic.

VANINA PIETRI

Vanina Pietri is a French Pop / RnB singer and dancer. As a dancer, she is part of a well known family of voguing dancers called House of Ninjas, with whom she has won a lot of prestigious awards.  As a vocalist, her Corsican-Algerian background brings fire to the melody. You can feel all of the powerful emotions going through her body in every single note. She is currently working on her first solo EP.

MÉLANIE

Mélanie is a French singer, piano player and guitar player / guitarist. Although she is not an R&B artist, per se, her Pop / Folk musical background helped foster her unique artistry, inspiring The Wave to write a song (for her) while on tour together. The result of their collaboration is pure magic, partly thanks to her highly seductive, smooth voice, which illuminates the track. She is currently recording her first album in French.
